Recent Projects

Our Work in Brisbane CBD & Inner City

A sample of signage projects we have designed, fabricated and installed across Brisbane CBD & Inner City.

01

Queen Street Law Firm — Reception & Lobby Signage

A national law firm relocating to a new CBD tower required 14 individual sign elements across three floors — reception, boardroom and Level 18 lobby identification. We fabricated 200mm brushed stainless flat-cut letters back-lit with warm-white LED strip and coordinated Saturday installation with the building facilities manager. From deposit to handover: 12 business days.

02

Fortitude Valley Retail — Illuminated Fascia Sign

A fashion retailer on Brunswick Street needed a DA-compliant illuminated fascia sign in the Valley's character precinct. We lodged the full BCC Development Application, including heritage impact assessment, and received approval within five weeks. The 4.8m aluminium tray sign with opal polycarbonate face and LED backlight was installed over a single weekend.

03

South Brisbane Restaurant — Window Graphics & Menu Board

A new dining venue on Grey Street required full-window vinyl graphics, a printed exterior menu board, and frosted privacy film across the kitchen-facing glass panels. We designed, printed and installed the full suite in three days, coordinating access with the fitout contractor.

Common Questions

Brisbane CBD & Inner City Signage FAQs

Do business signs in Brisbane CBD require council approval?
Signs over 1.5m² on commercial buildings in Brisbane CBD typically require a Development Application (DA) through Brisbane City Council. Smaller, non-illuminated signs may qualify for a simpler BCC Sign Permit. We assess which applies at the first consultation and manage all documentation in-house — you do not need to engage a separate town planner.
Do you install signage in heritage buildings in the CBD and Fortitude Valley?
Yes. We have experience lodging DAs for heritage overlay sites including Fortitude Valley's Heritage Precinct, Spring Hill and the CBD fringe. Heritage sites have additional BCC design guidelines around letter styles, illumination and sign area, which we factor into the design from the outset.
Can you install signage after hours to avoid disrupting our business?
Yes — we regularly schedule installations outside business hours and on weekends for inner-city clients where disruption to foot traffic or client-facing operations is a concern. After-hours installation is standard practice for our CBD and Fortitude Valley commercial projects.
