Hoarding Signage Brisbane

Custom printed hoardings for Brisbane construction sites and property developments. Development marketing graphics, site compliance signs and retail fit-out hoardings.

Promotional Signs

A construction hoarding does double duty: it provides site security and safety screening, and it presents a marketing opportunity — a prominent, high-visibility surface that can communicate your development brand and project vision to thousands of pedestrians and motorists every day. ProGroup Signs designs and installs custom hoarding signage for Brisbane property developers, construction companies and contractors, from small residential projects to major commercial and mixed-use developments.

Hoarding Signage Applications

Property Development Marketing Hoardings

The longest hoarding runs and the most demanding design briefs come from property development marketing. A quality development hoarding presents architectural renders, project branding, sales contact details and project timeline across the full site perimeter. For residential and commercial developments in high-foot-traffic areas, a well-designed hoarding can generate significant buyer and investor enquiry over the construction period. We work with development marketing agencies and project managers to produce hoardings that meet developer branding standards.

Construction Site Hoardings

Safety and compliance hoardings for construction sites — including site name and address, principal contractor identification, building permit number, emergency contact details, and safety messaging. These elements are required by building regulations in most states and must meet specific legibility and placement requirements. We produce compliant construction site signage packages that satisfy both regulatory requirements and the principal contractor's branding standards.

Retail Tenancy Fit-Out Hoardings

When a retail tenancy is under fit-out, a printed hoarding screens the construction activity from the shopping centre or streetscape while serving as pre-opening marketing for the incoming brand. A well-designed tenancy hoarding builds anticipation, communicates the opening timeline and starts building brand recognition in the location before the store opens. We produce tenancy fit-out hoardings for major retail brands, shopping centres and hospitality fit-outs.

Infrastructure & Civil Works Hoardings

Temporary signage for road works, utility infrastructure projects and civil construction — wayfinding around the work zone, safety information, project identification and communication to affected residents and businesses. These projects often require rapid turnaround and compliance with specific road authority or council visual standards.

Hoarding Formats

We match the hoarding format to the structure, budget and expected duration. Mesh banners are the fastest and most cost-effective option for chain-wire and cyclone fencing — printed on perforated vinyl that allows wind through, reducing load on the fence structure. Rigid ACM panels give the best print quality and the flattest surface — used where a premium development marketing result is required. Printed vinyl banners on timber hoarding are the most common format for mid-range budgets, providing a good balance of quality and cost.

Common Questions

Hoarding Signage FAQs

Answers to common questions about construction site and development hoarding signs.

What types of hoarding signage do you produce?+
We produce three main formats of hoarding signage. Mesh banner hoardings — large-format perforated vinyl mesh printed with development graphics and cable-tied or zip-tied to chain-wire or Cyclone fencing. ACM panel hoardings — rigid aluminium composite panels fixed to a timber or steel hoarding frame, giving a premium flat surface for high-quality development marketing graphics. Vinyl banner hoardings — printed vinyl banners with grommets, suitable for flat hoarding faces or temporary fencing. Each format suits different hoarding structures and budgets.
How large can a hoarding sign be?+
There is effectively no upper limit to the length of a hoarding run — we print graphics across multiple panels or banner sections that join seamlessly. A typical development hoarding might run 20–100 linear metres around the perimeter. Each individual panel or banner section is produced in manageable widths (typically 1200–2400mm wide) and installed with overlapping joins to create a continuous graphic.
Do development hoardings require council approval?+
Yes, in most cases. Development site hoardings are subject to local planning scheme provisions that govern sign area, height, setback from the road, and content (particularly marketing and advertising content on hoardings that exceeds what's needed for site safety). We advise on what approvals are required for your site and council area. For hoardings that form part of a development approval, the DA often includes conditions on hoarding signage.
Can you update the hoarding graphics as the project progresses?+
Yes — we offer a graphic refresh and panel replacement service that keeps your hoarding current with project milestones. As a construction project progresses from DA approval to structural completion to pre-sales and settlements, the marketing message on the hoarding typically needs to be updated. We maintain your hoarding graphic files and can reprint and replace panels quickly when updates are required.
Can I use hoarding signage for retail shopfit hoardings?+
Yes. Retail shopfit hoardings — temporary screens around a tenancy under fit-out — are a common application. We produce mesh or vinyl hoarding graphics for retail fit-out scenarios where the landlord or tenant wants to screen the construction activity and use the hoarding as a marketing opportunity. Printed hoardings promoting the incoming tenant's brand and opening date are standard in major retail centres during tenancy fit-outs.
